A weekly simple of
the inactive pond is also analyzed on-site. TR-010 specifies
a simple monthly average for regulating pond compliance. The
May averages are as follows:
Active Pond
Inactive Pond
Collection Pond
1.29 ppm CN-wad,
1.45 ppm CN-wad,
1.13 ppm CN-wad,
1.67 ppm CN~total
1.76 ppm CN~total
1.87 ppm CN-total
The May simple averages show compliance with our permit
standards of 3.8 ppm CN-wad and 4.4 ppm CN-total.
Samples collected on May 14 and 27 were sent to Core
Laboratories for outside lab verification. The preliminary
analysis reports and re-analysis checks from Core Labs for the
samples collected on May 14 are enclosed. As previously
discussed with you, the wad cyanide values are greater than
the total cyanide values. All initial and re-analysis values
reported by Core Labs are below our permit limits.
If you have any questions, please call.
Sincerely,
Alana L.
