This report is for the 2000 calendar year.
r--
The Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine was reclaimed during 1994. Until the mine was reclaimed, ~ ~
eight wells were monitored (LO-1, OW-3L, OW-7, OW-8, OW-12, OW-13, OW-14 & OW-
15). The groundwater monitoring wells were reclaimed late in 1994 and early in 1995. No
groundwater monitoring was performed or required during 2000 (reference table 4.6-1
page 4-85).
There was no discharge from the sediment pond during the year. The Operator irrigated
the crop land portion of the reclaimed mine site during 2000. Most of the excess irrigation
water was contained in the sediment pond and used to water livestock. Consumptive use
of water during the year included that used for irrigation and watering livestock. No
accounting of water consumption is available. - ..
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
J. E. Stover, P.E.
Consulting Engineer
