These reports were submitted fulfilling the requirements of Rule 4.05.13(4)(c)
and 2.04. ] 3 and satisfying the commitments in the permit application. I included in my review the
AHR and ARR reports for 1992. My review did not show any problems or deviation from the
Division's regulations or with the approved permit. Also, submitted with this package as Appendix
A was "Evaluation of Revegetation Success at the Walden Coal Company Mine Site." This report
contains sampling information for 1993 and summarizes the pas[ 5 years of vegetation sampling.
Anuual Hydrologic Report
The AHR contains water sampling results for 2 wells. Well 336 was dry during the 1992 and 1993
sampling seasons. Water sample analysis of well 30C was not noteworthy. Total dissolved solids
(TDS) have ranged from about 1000 mg/I to 1700 mg/l during the past 7 years.
Since July 1991 there appears to be a trend of steadily decreasing TDS. A graph of the TDS vs.
annual precipitation presented on the next page shows that what appears to be a relationship of
annual precipitation with concentrations of TDS.
