iiiiiiiiiiiiiiuiii <br />999 <br />Doc Date:12/1112001 <br />• CONCLUSION <br />The survey, hydrologic and vegetation data generated to date <br />indicate that Fish Creek and its valley floor have been subsided <br />but no detrimental impacts have been experienced by the system. <br />The shallow sandstone unit has been dewatered within the mining <br />area- and it appears to have been stabilized as reflected by the <br />water levels obtained during late December. The alluvial wells do <br />not appear to have been impacted by subsidence, rather they have <br />responded to seasonal variations in the hydrologic regime. The <br />data does not indicate that water quality within the alluvium, <br />shallow sandstone, or the creek has been impacted or degraded by <br />subsidence. <br />The vegetation data collected to date does not reflect any <br />significant changes which can be attributed to subsiding the valley <br />floor. Likewise, visual observations of the area do not indicate <br />any signs of subsidence. <br />The monitoring of the area will continue into 1994 and should <br />provide additional data which demonstrates that streams and <br />alluvial valley floors can be undermined and subsided without <br />causing negative impacts to the system. <br />• <br />• <br />
