Those questions are re-
stated below in Italics;
The hydrologic monitoring plan presented on page 522 of the approved permit requires
monthly visits with measurement of water level, temperature, pH, and E.C. for the Refuse
well and the luppa well. No information was presented in the 1997 repoR that indicates
monthly visits were conducted. Please submit this information or provide an explanation
for these omissions.
2. Who visits the sediment pond and the permanent diversion on a weekly basis to check
for, and measure, discharge and field parameters, if necessary?
Please respond to the above questions within 15 days within receipt of this letter.
1998 Annual Hydrology Report Review
Monitoring Frequency
The hydrologic monitoring plan presented on page 522 of the approved permit requires
monthly visits with measurement of water level, temperature, pH, and E.C. for the Refuse
well and the luppa well. All visits were conducted in accordance with the approved plan
with the exception of the March 1998 field sampling visit, where it appears from
inspection of the cumulative data for the wells that water level was measured but Feld
parameters were not collected.
2. Who visits the sediment pond and the permanent diversion on a weekly basis to check
for, and measure, discharge and field parameters, if discharge is observed?
