The collection pond average 1.22 ppm CN-wad and 1.26 <br />ppm CN-total. The weekly sample of the inactive pond, collected on <br />August 24, showed 0.79 ppm CN-wad and 0.80 ppm CN-total. <br />As per tt3e telephone call on August 29, the active pond (lower <br />pond) sample showed cyanide concentrations of 4.08 ppm CN-wad and <br />4.41 CN-total on August 27. Samples collected August 28 showed <br />concentrations of 2.21 ppm CN-wad and 3.40 CN-total. <br />As specified in TR-010, the DMG was immediately notified of the <br />cyanide levels. The August 21-27 weekly average and t_he August <br />sample monthly average for pond compliance will not be <br />significantly influenced by this anomaly.
