As you know, there was no mining at either
mine during the last year and the conditions and forecasts
detailed by Hydro-Geo Consultants in their report of February 18,
1985 are generally still applicable. This report gall first
discuss the effect of McClane Canyon mine on the .al bedrock
aquifer, next discuss the effect of Munger Canyon :ne, and last
discuss the elect of both mines on the hydrology ,East Salt
Creek.'
McCLANE CANYON MINE
Mini Historv
The mine remains under Division approved Temporary Cessation.
There has only been maintenance work done at the mini foc the last
year. Maintenance of the mine included such things as surface
water controls, underground roof support, pumping wat°: from the
mine, and the general upkeep of equipment. A mine wcrkin.gs map
showing important hydroligic features is included in this report
as Figure 1.
Water Inflow ~ Discharge
Since there was no mining during the year, no additional ground
was opened up to supply additional water to the mine. The inflow
of water has decreased to approximately 1.18 gallons per minute
based upon the discharge record for the year. A tabulation of the
mine water discharges and chemical analysis of those discharges is
included as Table 1. Additionally, a tabulation of monthly water
balance at each mine is .included as Table 2.
It should be noted that even though the water is t ing discharged
from the mine there has been no effect on the Ovate quality of
1-1,.1~~ ra ~~
d~"
.,
:~.
7.
~.
..~
~Y
~_
~'
~.,
k'
.~
K~
~i
,`
`~
