r,~
III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
9~
SUBSIDENCE MONITORING REPORT
JULY -DECEMBER 1994
CYPRUS EMPIRE CORPORATION
1.0 INTRODUCTION
This report summarizes the survey results of subsidence monitoring lines over
longwall panels in the E seam and 3 State Highway 13 points. Longwall mining
began in 3 East panel in August 1993. The increment of mining for this reporting
period is marked on the attached map. The map shows overburden thickness,
surface features and the lines/monitoring point labels.
2.0 MONITORING SCHEDULE
Surveys were done on schedule on 17Sep94 for linesA,B,C and D, 30Sep94 for
line J, 25Nov94 for lines A,B and C, 28Nov94 for line D and 30Nov94 for line J.
Highway point surveying schedule is listed below.
3.0 MINING ADVANCE
The advance of the longwall marked on the map totalled 978 ft linear down the
longitudinal axis of the longwall panel. The highway points have already been
undermined prior to this reporting period.
4.0 SUBSIDENCE RESULTS
The results of the line surveys are presented in the attached tables. Because of
inherent ground swell from temperature and moisture variations and surveying
accuracy, change of elevation of less than 0.1 ft is not significant. Listed below
are the highlights of each monument line for the E seam panels and for the
highway points.
LINE MAXIMUM TOTAL
SUBSIDENCE TODATE
A -7.4 FT
B -7.5 FT
C -5.1 FT
MAXIMUM SUBSIDENCE
IN LAST 6 MONTHS
-0.1 FT
-4.3 FT
-0.4 FT
