EPA has not yet approved the report but Pat Smith
wanted for me to shaze it with you now as it contains information on Windy Gulch and potential
surface water impacts from the Bulldog Mine. I anticipate that EPA will approve the report in
the neaz future at which time I can make copies available to interested parties including
Homestake Mining Company.
Section 5.3.2 and the tables and histograms referenced there'm summarize the analytical results
for Windy Gulch. Homestake had a consultant accompany us and collect split samples along
Windy Gulch and source samples from the mine waste piles.
I would appreciate hearing any thoughts you might have concerning this report particulazly
pertaining to permitted mining operations.
Sincerely,
„ltl~
Martin D.
