. ~ • iii iiiiiiiiuiii-ii
EXHIBIT L -PERMANENT MAN-MADE STRUCTURES
The only man-made structures which fall within 200 feet of the operation or affected
land are the county road, DD19 and the San Miguel power transmission line. Based
on historical information gathered from past operations in the area, and the fact that
all mining has and will take place at a depth of 600 feet below the surface, employing
small scale room and pillar mining techniques makes it highly unlikely that the county
road or the power transmission line could ever be affected by past or future mining
operations. The underground workings are small and the overlying geologic
formations in the area consist of horizontal, competent units.
IUC is willing to accept the responsibility for damage to either structure, if the damage
is caused by surface subsidence directly related to their mining operation.
•
•
