Mine inflows were down 10 per cent from the previous year; while estimated <br />consumptive use was up very slightly. Surface water flows were also very <br />low. The data all appear to reflect the below-normal precipitation <br />experienced in recent years in the area. Water levels in monitoring wells <br />were slightly lower. Ground water quality, although generally quite poor, has <br />not deteriorated over time. <br />I also reviewed the first-half 1990 Twin Pines report, and found nothing very <br />remarkable. The report complies with Sitpulations 1 and 2, modified by <br />TR-O1. No ground water impacts are evident, there were no NPDES exceedances <br />during the period, and mine water was pumped to the surface at a fairly <br />constant rate of 38 GPM. <br />WBC/yjb <br />0220E <br />
