The
mine disturbed areas were surveyed during the quarterly inspection of June 24, 1998. Due to heavy
snow accumulation at the site and rapid melting conditions in the spring of 1996, erosional areas
were created on the inslopes of Ponds 1 and 2. Repair of these areas conducted during 1996 and
1997 has held up well. Minor hand repairs were made during the site inspection to one rill which
has developed on the inslope of Pond 2. The standard seed mix listed in the permit was used for this
area. The repair area is shown on the attached map. No other rills or gullies of significance were
observed on the remainder of reclaimed area.
Should you have questions or if you need additional information concerning this survey, please do
not hesitate to let me know.
Sincerely,
J' errvH.K bli~~
Permit Coordinator
Attachment
cc Clay Smith - KN Energy
5231 South Quebec Street • Greenwood Village, Colorado 80111
Phone (303) 850-0930 • Fax (303) 721-9298
Web Site: www.greystone-consuhants.com • E-mail: greystone@greystone-consultants.com
