Lamar East Pit Prowers County <br />Here is the Annual Report and Fee for the above min;ng operation 'for 1985-86 <br />1. There were approximately four (4) acres mined in Part 1 Stage 0 (see ma pl. <br />This area had been previously mined with a dragline but now wt~ are using <br />a different method of excavati^n that allows "s to mine deeper and there <br />fore disturb less acreage. <br />2. No acres were totally reclaimed for this period however topsoil has <br />been haw ed to a portion of Part 1 Stage BL for placement. <br />3. tJo additional acres were backfilled, graded etc. during this period, <br />however there are approximately 2.5 acres that have been hackfilled <br />and sloped in previous years. <br />4. No vegetation was planted. <br />5. No fertilizers or organic material was used. <br />6. We completed our first full year under our new method of excavation during <br />this reporting period and it has worked well and we plan t~ continue. We <br />therefore plan to submit to the division a revised mining plan sequence. <br />7. We would anticipate that approximately five (5) acres will be affected in <br />1986-87 reporting period all in Part 1 of Stage 0 which is an area that <br />has been previously disturbed. <br />8.
