Long <br />Division Dneclor <br />From: David Berry <br />Re: h[ine Inflow - West Elk Mine - C-80-007 <br />Toda}~ I spoke with Christine Johnston of Mountain Coal Company. <br />During our telephone conversation, she stated that MCC has again <br />encoLlntered water inflows in the Sylvestor Gulch area of the mine. <br />She stated that the approximate rate of flow, as of today, is about <br />1000 gallons per minute. I asked Christine to have MCC provide a <br />detailed summary letter of the mining and inflow observations. <br />Plea::e follow-up on this matter, and obtain detailed information as <br />soon as possible.
