Box 68 <br />Craig, Colorado 81626 <br />RE: Herbicide Application File No. C-81-044 <br />Dear Mr. P1i115: <br />We have reviewed your letter received on September 15, 1988 and have a few <br />comments regarding your proposed herbicide applications. <br />First, we do not have a problem with the use of Roundup. However, before <br />using any other product the Division should be notified. Your statement "that <br />a herbicide, such as Roundup, will be utilized" is too general to give a <br />blanket approval for herbicide use. <br />Secondly, you may wish to consider a product called Arsenal, produced by <br />American Cyanimide. This material is a bare ground product 'For industrial <br />use. It has a residual effect and is soil active. Roundup is not soil active <br />and would require an annual or possibly even a twice year application. <br />If you would like to discuss the use of any other herbicides, I suggest that <br />you contact Tony Waldron of our staff. <br />Sincerely, <br />~~' <br />Gregg R.
