The 1980
spring runoff was adequate to refill Stage 1 with aggregate. It
was not necessary to move into Stages 2 and 3 in 1980 because of
a lack of demand and abundance of material.
In 1981 we plan to mine more area than was mined in 1980, but again,
this will depend entirely on the demand for crushed aggregate in
the area.
No reclamation is required in Stages 1 and 2 until after the first
runoff following the last mining season. It is impossible at this
time to estimate when the final mining season will occur. ~Ve will
continue to mine Pit No. 3 as long as the demand for sand and
gravel exists and/or the river fails to refill the excavated area.
Our check for $50 to cover the annual fee is enclosed. Please
sign below to indicate your receipt of this Pdotice of Intent to
Continue and the annual fee, and return one copy of this letter
to us.
Y rs truly,
Jack R.
