This application is to permit the Mendota
Properties, a combined underground and surface operation, that
will mine precious and base metals, and produce various aggregate
products. Mining will be through existing portals, and from
existing surface dumps, on properties included in 9.9 acres
adjacent to the town of Silver Plume in Clear Creek County. The
actual area of surface disturbance will be considerably less than
9.9 acres, but will be greater than the 2.0 acres currently
permitted on the property.
A Prospecting Permit for this property was issued to Jack Pine
Mining Company in May 1989. To date, all prospecting has been in
underground workings with no surface disturbance created. Maps
and photographs depicting current site conditions, as well as
those indicating that the site conditions have not substantially
changed from the time of mining the property in the 1800's.
These maps and photographs are included as a part of this
[110(2)] Limited Impact Operation Permit Application.
It is intended that mining would commence within one year after
Mined Land Reclamation Board approval and permit issuance.
Sincerely yours:
Doug V.
