This area is approximately 30 acres and will be situated in an
area currently identified as "old dredge tailings" on USGS quadrangle
sheets and on sheet 1 of 4, and "dredge tailings" on sheet 4 of 4 in the
application.
It is the operators intent that the mining dredge that presently exists on
the site will remain within the proposed historical-mining land-use area
as a center of attraction.
The following responses relate to the subject matter discussed during the
14 June 1983 field review for which the Division requires concurrence.
1) The seed mixture presented on p. 12 of the permit application
will be used to seed the topsoil stockpiles. The application
rates will be the same.
2) Based on the proposed mining sequence in the permit application,
the operators over-the-shoulder operation should have a major
disturbance of 2 acres at any one time with 16 acres in moderate
or minor disturbance.

Resource Engineering 8 Environmental Services
-.; 1 psis ~,i l
