Walther
EeeCNivP Dire[IOr
nt¢hael B. Long
Division Director
Western Mobile Northern, Inc.,
The Informal Conference for the Loveland Pit is scheduled for Thursday, July 20, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. in
Fort Collins. I have reserved a vehicle for our use; we should depart at 9:30 a.m. The following is a list
of parties and the issues raised by each.
1. City of Loveland Current Planning Division represented by Matt Dulcich.
• Concemed with proximity of asphalt plant to proposed residential development and City of
Loveland Park. Concerned with health and safety issues related to the asphalt plant.
2. Ralph and Brigette Power, property owners residing near the proposed pit.
• Concemed with truck traffic and resultant air pollution, noise, and reduced life expectancy of
roadway infrastructures.
• Concemed that reclamation [o wildlife habitat is not a realistic goal.
• Concemed that the pit will affect future residential development and existing residential property
owners.
• Concemed with impacts the pit will have on property values and quality of life for existing
residents.
3. TMC Waterford Place, L.L.C. represented by Don Marostica. This is an adjoining landowner with
plan to construct a residential development.
• Concerned that the riverbank has been built up by activities a[ the proposed pit property. These
activities predate the permit application. Concerned that these activities have altered the floodway
channel and may affect TMC Waterford's right to build in the flood fringe.
I will bring copies of the informal conference package to Fort Collins.
c:\windows\personal\lovzland pit infconf3.doc
