Dept. of P!atural P.esc'~rces <br />August 18, 1978 <br />State of Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />'~~ <br />Re: Exclusion of portland cement manufacturing <br />facilities from "affected land." <br />Attention: Mr. Roger Funston <br />As you suggested we have prepared the attached paper of <br />explanations and reasons why Ideal feels its Portland <br />and Boettcher, Colorado, portland cement manufacturing <br />facilities should be excluded from "affected land" and <br />surety as referenced in the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Act HB-1065. <br />Permit applications for Ideal's four Boettcher quarries in <br />Larimer County are tentatively scheduled for hearing at the <br />August 1978 Hoard meeting.
