The following explanations cover Limited Impact applications (110's) and Special
(Ten-Day Processing - Ill's) applications. In the interest of efficient processing,
please check the appropriate box to indicate which type of application y u are applying
for. 111 permits may be issued only under special circumstances. Be su a you are .

~ X~ LIMITED IMPACT OPERATIONS must disturb less than ten acres (in luding all
roads, stockpile areas and any other surface facilities) over he life of the
mine, and must extract LESS THAN 70,000 tons of mineral, overb rden or
combination thereof per calendar year. If the affected area i some fraction
greater than nine acres, be sure NOT to round this figure up t ten acres in
the narratives or elsewhere.
I_I SPECIAL (ten-day processing) operations are any sand, gravel, r quarry
aggregates operations which are to be operated for the sole pu pose of
obtaining materials for highway, road, utility, or Similar-typ construction
under a Federal, State, county, city, town, or special distric contract where
the contract calls for work to be commenced within a specifical ly short time
and which will affect ten acres or less (including all roads, s tockpile areas,
and any other surface facilities).
INSTRUCTION: This application and all accompanying materials as outlined below must be
submitted in duplicate. For further guidance, and informat ion for Limited
