Lo<hhead <br />Eeecmi~e Director <br />Michael B. long <br />Division Direc for <br />On July 28, 1998, the Division of Minerals and Geology conducted an inspection of [he Bad Boy <br />Stone Mine, Permit No. M-92-108. According to Rule 4.2(1) and (2), the Division ma}• review a <br />financial warranty at any time to determine if the amount is sufficient to perform reclamation. <br />The result of that inspection and subsequent recalculatiott indicated that the site is currently <br />underbonded. This letter is to inform you that your financial warranty will need to be revised <br />from its current amount of $1,400.00 to $11,500.00 withitt 60 days of receipt of this letter. The <br />operator has three options regarding the amount of required bond; <br />submit additional financial warcanty in the amount of $10,100.00 within 60 days of receipt of <br />[his letter, <br />2. perform reclamation on the old pit to reduce the reclamation liability to $8,300.00, or <br />revise the reclamation plan. <br />A copy of calculations used to determine this cost is attached for your review.
