Howard
Senior Geologist
Haley 6 Aldrich Inc.
1600 Broadway, Suite 1125
Denver, CO 80202
Re: Cooley Gravel Company "Longmont Operation"
Dear Mr. Howard:
This office has reviewed your correspondence of February 22, 1994
concerning the above proposed project.
A search of the Colorado Cultural Resource Inventory has indicated that
there are no known sites located within the boundaries of this project.
However, the location of this proposed pit makes it highly probable that
prehistoric and historic sites may be present. If there have been no
extensive land altering activities in the project area, we recommend that
a cultural resource survey be undertaken to determine if eligible cultural
resources will be impacted by project activities. This is done in
accordance with the Colorado Register of Historic Places Act (24-80.1).
If we may be of further assistance please contact Jim Green at 866-4674.
Sincerely,
James E.
