DEVt. of IVATUR4L RFSO~ <br />Rt. 2, I•Iancos, CO <br />(2) U.S. Forest Service unpatented mining claims <br />(3) Ylestley Fotts and James Potts <br />(4) Enclosed map <br />Adjacent surface owner is all U.S. forest <br />land <br />(5) T 36 hT Range 12 GI Section 14 <br />Nining to be carried on at claim # 4 located <br />in the Southeast ~- of section lt+ <br />The affected land consists of less than 1 acre. <br />(6} The mine operation consists of following a ore <br />vein in an easterly direction. Sy driving a <br />8 x 8 drift, which will be all ore there will <br />be no waste. The mining will be done by <br />drilling, shooting and mucking with a diesel <br />loader. The ore will be hauled to a mill <br />16 miles on Ylestley Potts ranch. <br />(7) Relcamation costs: <br />I request that the surety bond be set at zero. <br />There is less than 1 acre affected. All that <br />will be needed ~-rhen I cease operation will be <br />to sow grass on the affected area, I have <br />made arrangements with the U.S. Forest Service <br />to let me do this and have posted a x500. <br />cash bond, This is an old mine; work was <br />done here in 1954, <br />(8} a. tlildlife: Occasional deer and elk - <br />impact minimal; sheep range in summer - <br />sheep graze in this area 1 to 2 iaeeks in <br />summer months <br />b. Glater Resources: Water drains into east <br />1`fancos River from rain and snow - nothing <br />from mined area to pollute water; there <br />is no ground water coming from the mine. <br />c. Vegetation: Small aspen trees and grass <br />d. Soils: 1 to 2 ft. in depth <br />An operation plan from the U. S. Forest Service will accompany <br />~ this request to substantiate any questions. <br />
