The applicant for the permit was Gillette Sand
and Gravel Co. The only condition of approval of the permit was [hat a concrete berm be constructed around the
fuel storage area.
The corresponding Division of Minerals and Geology permit is #1992-009.
An audit of the permit in 2004 indicated that both the County's and the State's permits remain active and from
the information that we have presently, it would appear that both are in good standing.
As discovered during the audit, it would appeaz that the Conditional Use Permit for Mining from Teller County
does not require the submittal of annual DMG reports as similaz permits issued by the County do. However, we
appreciate that the current owner/operator submitted [he most recent annual report and request that annual
reports continue to be submitted for the County's records.
Approved and active Conditional Use Permits are subject to the Teller County Land Use Regulations. These
regulations are available for a nominal charge in printed form at the Manor Court offices in Woodland Pazk and
can also be accessed via the in[emet at www.co.teller.co.us.
If you should become the owner/operator of the permit, please contact the Planning Department so that our
records may be updated. If we can provide you with other information or answer any other questions, please do
not hesitate to contact anyone in the Planning Department for assistance.
Sincerely,
'Terri Bernath
Planner
CC: Paul Clarkson, CDSD Director
Berhan Keffelew, Division of Minerals and Geology
