SUBSECT: Specification Aggregates Variance
On Monday evening, .tune 30, 1975, I attended a meeting
of the City of Golden Board of Adjustment.
Our interest was in case No. A-75-8, a request by
Specification Aggregates for extension of their
variance for mining aggregates above the Old Heidleburg.
I responded to questions from the Board regarding the
State permit, reclamation plan, present bond, etc.
The Board of Adjustment granted a renewal of the
variance for two years until July 27, 1977. One of
the conditions of the variance stated that Specification
Aggregates would furnish a reclamation performance
bond in the amount of $150,000. The Board asked if the
bond could be made out to the State and if the State
would administer it. I answered affirmatively.
May I request the Land Reclamation Board's approval
of a supplemental bond from Specification Aggregates
in the amount of $84,000 for the above operation' The
present bond in our possession is in the amount of
$66,000.
