Weaver
109 Weat Main
Cortex, Colorado 81321
Re: Our File No. M-85-031, Mancos Gravel Pit
Dear Mr Weaver:

DIVISIO N
The above application may not conform with the total requirements or intent of
the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board. The
items below specify remaining concerns regarding your application and suggest,
where appropriate, viable solutions and alternatives for problems discussed.
Please respond accordingly no later than April 19, 1985 to allow time for
staff review prior to the scheduled Board meeting.
1. Please indicate the exact acreage to be permitted, to the nearest tenth of
an acre. If the access road is not pre-existing, it must be included in the
total acreage to be permitted.
2. Please locate your topsoil stockpile in an area within the permit boundary
that will not be affected by the advancing operation. This will avoid costly
handling of topsoil.
3. Please provide more detailed description of the affected soils. The local
district office of the U.S. Soil Conservation District may be able to assist
you in this regard.
Upon receipt of the above information the Division is prepared to recommend
approval to the Mined Land Reclamation Board. Such information must be
received no later than April 19, 1985 to be considered for the April 24-25,
1985 Board meeting.
Thank-you for your time and cooperation.
cerely,
~~~ ~~
Bradford Janes
Reclamation Specialist
BJ/yt
Doc.
