Construction
company of Florence, Co., and he stated that he had talked on
the Telephone with you regarding his concerns of a Gravel Pit
being approved by the Fremont County Commissioners. We understand
that the issue now is in your hands as to whether the State will
issue a State Permit.
We have no problem with a permit, provided strong guide lines are
laid down and more importantly monitored during the ten year
Permit.
Enclosed in the Mailing you will find several concerns with regard
to the granting of said permit. For the most part the Board of
County Commissioners disregarded the comments....
We here at the Chamber voiced our objection as did our Newspaper
the Florence Citizen and many Citizens as is evidenced by the
group of petitions that were filed in protest.,.
Our greatest concern is that we are deeply concerned
County may not monitor the operation, and we are not
pleased that they can work the Pit on Sundays.
We would appreciate your comments
incerely .
Darrell Lindsey, Ex cutive Director
The Florence Chamber f Commerce
that the as
at all \~
~y r
~~~^`
^ ~ ~ 1~~
V/"'` ~ ~
~ ~( ~~. ~
4\`
~~~~
"The Best Little Chamber in Colorado" Founded in 1912
