~iiiiuiiiiiiiiiiiii
999
Doc Date:12/11/2001
• \
5` RULE 2.02 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR COAL EXPLORATION
This section establishes the requirements for coal exploration
outside the approved permit area. It is intended to ensure that
exploration activities are conducted in a manner that protects
the environment and complies with all existing governmental
regulations. Items which are included are filing Notices of
Intent when 250 tons or less of coal will be removed during
exploration and applying for written approval when more than 250
tons will be removed during exploration.
GEC Minerals, Inc. does not plan at this time to conduct any
exploration activities outside the permit boundary as proposed
within this mining and reclamation plan. Therefore, this section
is not addressed within the application. At such time as explor-
ation activities outside the permit boundary are planned, GEC
• Minerals, Inc. will file the necessary application with the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division.

2.02-1
