The information ie accurate ae of the <br />above date. <br />Operator: Southdown Inc. dba Southwestern Portland Cement Company <br />File No: M-93-041 Acres: 1,911 <br />Operation Type: 112 limestone warrv <br />General Location: Sections 9,10,15,16,21.22, T3N, R70W. 6th P.M. - About 2 <br />miles east of Lvone, Colorado <br />Mining Plan: Open pit warrvina of four parallel, gentling d1DDing limestone <br />ridges. Mining to occur along a north-south strike length of up to 8,000 <br />feet. Mining will progress from south to north. Topsoil and overburden will <br />be stripped and stockpiled separately. About 9.5 million cu. vde. of <br />limestone will be mined and trucked to the Lvone Ouarrv Processing plant <br />(Permit No. M-77-2081. About 14.5 million cu.vde of waste rock will be moved <br />and used for backfillina and creating topographic features as designed in the <br />reclamation plan. A total of 312 acres will be mined. Total disturbed area <br />at the site includes 695 acres. Ore will be hauled by either 25 ton or 85 ton <br />trucks to the plant south of Highway 66. The crossing of the St. Vrain river <br />has been engineered to safely handle the 100 year/24 hour storm event. <br />Objections were received from citizens living adjacent to the permit area on <br />the south and west aides. Citizens either represented themselves, the Indian <br />Gap Homeowners Association or Friends And Neighbors of Dowe Flats group. <br />Objection issues within the Board`s jurisdiction include; blasting effects on <br />surrounding areas, duet problems. wildlife impacts, final reclamation of the <br />site and impact on the crossing of St. Vrain Creek. <br />Reclamation Plan: <br />Final land Uee Wildlife Habitat <br />Slope Grading A diverse topography will be constructed that includes <br />Winds, wetlands, irregular hills and ridges (with rimrock areael and hilltop <br />d~reesions. <br />Topsoil Depth 12 inches (underlain by 2-5 feet of fine overburden) <br />Species to be Planted Nine seed mixes are proposed representing the <br />
