M-2004-044 ~ <br />Members of the Board: <br />Board consideration of the Division's recommendation for approval over objections for the <br />above application is scheduled for a Formal Public Hearing, during the Board's January 19-20, <br />2005 meeting. <br />The Division recommends that the Board approve Aggregate Industries' application fora 112c <br />Mining and Reclamation Pennit for their proposed Tucson South Resource sand and gravel <br />operation, with the following conditions. <br />CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL <br />1. If final specifications for construction of the slurry walls differ from the draft <br />specifications, Aggregate Industries will provide DMG a copy of the final version <br />for review, as a technical revision. <br />2. Aggregate Industries' mining operation will not intersect ground <br />water in Phases 2, 3 and 3A until the Division of Minerals and Geology has <br />reviewed and accepted the final slurry wall construction report, including quality <br />assurance test results. <br />3. Aggregate Industries will not expose ground water to the surface in Phases 1, 2, 3, <br />Office of Office of Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation Ac[ive and Inactive Mines Geological Survey <br />
