Long
Divis~an Director
RE: San Acacio Pit (File M-99-024) Request for County response to Division's July 7, 1999 letter
Dear Ms. Pacheco:
On July 7, 1999, the Division provided a letter addressed to you indicating the status of the County's permit
application for the San Acacio Pit (File M-99-024). In that letter, the Division identified the one adequacy issue
that remains to be addressed in order that the Division be able to consider approval of the permit application. (A
copy of that letter is attached.) This same issue was discussed with the County's representatives during the
Division's inspection of the site of the San Acacio Pit on June l6, 1999 and an explanation was promised at the
time.
In summary, an understanding of the relationship of the area surveyed by Luchetti Land Surveying, Inc. and the
property described in the County's Quit Claim Deed is still requved. Was it intended that and does the proposed
8.04 acre permit area for the San Acacio Pit lie entirely within the 10.8 acre orooerty described by the Ouit Claim
Deed?
With only one adequary issue remaining, it would seem to be in the County's best interest to promptly address that
issue and allow the Division to consider approval of the application. What possible purpose is served by delaying
the County's response further?
If you have any questions on the above, pleaze contact me.
Sincerely,
Ja~iG~ ° Euo
James C.
