IUSA hereby notifies the Colorado
Deparument of Natural Resources, Division of Minerals and Geology of our intent to
resume operations for production of uranium and vanadium ore at the following
mines in San Miguel County, Colorado:
• West Sunday Mine, Permit No. M-81-021
• Sunday Mine, Permit No. M-77-285
• Carnation Mine, Permit No. M-77-416
• St. Jude Mine, Permit No. M-78-039
• Topaz Mine, Permit No. M-080-039
Our files indicate that these mines have been on standby and were granted
temporary cessation status until the market for uranium and vanadium improved
sufficiently to justify reactivation. Change from temporary cessation status is
requested effective immediately; production is expected to continue until at least the
end of 1998.
