The proposed
application rate is 50 ppm. The only aquatic species that appears affected at this rate is Ceriodaohnia
dubia• Since the chemical is a flocculant, most of it is expected to remain with sludge and not be
discharged with the effluent. So, it is likely that the concentration in the discharge would be nontoxic to this
species as well.
On this basis, it is acceptable for use in wastestreams that may be discharged to state waters. We will approve
this chemical for use at application rates recommended by the manufacturer. Please contact me at (303) 692-
3605 if you have questions.
~~,~~-
Jon C.
