GENERAL: Notice of Publication in newspaper and notification to
owners.
/ L ~~y
~/'
~~', ~,`
W\ ~
The attached notice was sent to the Pueblo Chieftain for publication on October 3, 10,
17, and 24. After the 24"' we will receive certification from the Chieftain that those publications
happened and this certification will be forwarded to you. On October 3 this same notice and the
attached map were sent by certified mail to the surrounding property owners. All have
responded. Pueblo County is also required to issue a notice of the Special Use Permit hearing
for the pit to all owners within 300 feet of the site. The permit was granted 9/24/97 and a one-
year review was held 9/23/97 so these people have received several notifications of the
proposed mine. I am forwarding copies of the receipts.
2.
