M-92-017,
Section 17, T46N, Ri5W, New Mexico P.M.
Water Division 4, Water District 60
We have reviewed the above refierenced mining permit application per
your request of February 27, 1992. The application is to conduct
surface mining of sand and gravel and to reclaim the land as range
land.
The permit application claims that no groundwater will be
encountered and that process water will be not be needed. While we
can recommend approval of this operation as presented, we would
like to point out that should ground water be encountered, the
operator must obtain a valid well permit tram this office along
with a substitute supply plan or a court approved plan for
augmentation.
Should you have any additional questions, please contact this
ofifiice.
cc: Keith Kepler, Division Engineer
Lyman D. Campbell, Water Commissioner
