Therefore, exposure of ground <br />water must not occur during or after mining operations. <br />® The proposed operation will consume ground water by: ®evaporation, ®dust control, ®reclamation, <br />® water removed in the mined product, ®processing, ®other:.concrete/asphalt production <br />Prior to initiation of these uses of ground water, the applicant will need to obtain either a gravel pit or <br />other type of well permit, as applicable (see additional comments below). <br />^ Prior to approving a well permit, the applicant must conduct a field inspection of the site and document <br />the locations of all wells within 600 feet of the permit area. The applicant must then obtain a waiver of <br />objection from all well owners with wells within 600 feet of the permit area or request a hearing before <br />the State Engineer. <br />^ In the event that ground water is encountered/used, water is currently available for appropriation at this <br />location, thus a well permit may be available without a water court approved plan for augmentation. <br />^ The proposed operation may have potential impact on existing water rights near the project location. <br />Applicant needs to demonstrate that the proposed project will not alter or impact the historic operation of <br />existing water rights. <br />^ The applicant has indicated plans to use other water for uses at the permit site. Applicant needs <br />to document that the water is obtained from a legal source for such industrial use. <br />® Applicant has obtained well permit no. 56563-F for evaporation, product moisture loss, asphalt <br />production, concrete production, dust control, and the irrigation of reclaimed mining areas. This permit <br />was issued on September 27, 2001 on the basis that water is available for appropriation at this location. <br />Applicant must operate the pit pursuant to the conditions of approval on the well permit and must <br />maintain a valid well permit. <br />COMMENTS: Pursuant to Policy 2000-4 of the State Board of Examiners of Water Well Construction and Pump <br />Installation Contractors (Board), no pumping equipment shall be installed in the gravel pit well to <br />withdraw water for any beneficial use, unless a separate written request for variance has been approved <br />by the Board. <br />r.. <br />,' <br />Permit #~ D Confidental?: <br />Class: Type-Seq.: <br />From; ~~ppr~~~jTTp: ~G <br />Doc.
