Long
Drvisian Dlrec-tor
Completed an initial technical review of your permit application. As we discussed on Friday,
May 26, 1995, there are several items that need to be addressed in order to meet the requirements of the
Mined Land Reclamation Act and the Mineral Rules and Regulations. Following are a list of concerns you
need to address:
Page one of the application form states that the permitted acreage will be under 10 acres.
You need to state exactly how many acres the permit area will encompass.
2. Except for Exhibit A-1 of the application, you need to submit exhibit maps that comply
with Rule 6.2. Of importance is Rule 6.2.1(2)(d) which states that all maps must identify
and outline the permit area.
3. As we discussed, the Division needs more information about the old gravel pit. If the
operator intends [o re-disturb any or all of the old pit then reclamation will be required.
I( none of the old pit will be re-disturbed then the operator must state that. In addition,
the old pit must be shown on all exhibit E maps. The operator must describe in detail
how he will prevent re-disturbing the old site if he does not plan to re-disturb it.
4. The exhibit E reclamation map must show final topography of the site.
After I receive the new maps I will complete the technical review process.
Pursuant to Rule 1.8 you must submit a copy of all changes with the County Clerk and Recorder and
submit proof to the Division that the changes were filed with the Clerk and Recorder.
If you have any questions give me a call.
Sincerely,
/~
~~ James Dillie
Environmental Protection Specialist

c~rn~rr OF COLORADO
Ill illlllilllllllll ~,.-..
I~~~~
DEPARTMENT OF
NATURAL
RESOURCES
iu:WSSbmmlSROSS.jd
