RE: Application for Mining and Reclamation

Dear Mr. Campbell:
Mr. Ledbetter, who has had the responsibility of handling the Appli-
cation for Mining and Reclamation, is in the hospital and will most
likely not return to work for quite sometime. I, as Secretary and
Corporate Officer, will make the following statements in behalf of
DFC Ceramics, Inc., which should be added to our Application for
Mining and Reclamation Permit.
The Soil Conservation Service has recommended that slopes should not
exceed 3:1 where possible, with drainage sloped into existing walls.
We at present, see no reason why this cannot be done and DF~~ Ceramics,
Inc. will do everything possible to comply.
The Soil Conservation Service also recommends clump plantin~3 of woody
plants for this area, as the site will provide excellent habitat for
game birds and small mammals. DFC Ceramics, inc. will follow the re-
commendations of the Department after mining operations have ceased.
