Beavers
Dear Mr. Beavers:
This information is provided in response to your questions in your letter
dated April 19, 1983.
The brush to be buried in the slopes will not be of sufficient quantity to
allow piping or slope stability problems. The large brush and trees will be
disposed of as firewood, the smaller brush will be mixed with the overburden.
The present vegetative cover will not be sufficient to cause problems.
The reclamation plan which includes the small brush in the overburden is
based on the approach that the overburden will be placed on the slopes within
a one year period. Propagation of a wide variety of brush is enhanced with
this method. In the event that the overburden cannot be replaced on the slopes
within one year, the stockpile will be seeded with the revised seed mixture
listed in the letter dated March 25, 1983. This also will require that when
overburden stockpiled longer than one year is placed on pit slopes the shrubs
and brush will be seeded as follows:
Low Rabbit Brush @0.25 lbs/ac Fertilizer 36 ]b/ac Available N
Shadscale Salt Bush @2.00 lbs/ac
Fourwing Saltbush @0.fi3 lbs/ac
Water and water rights will be handled with the State Engineers Office.
The 75 foot setback from the wetland area will be left undistrubed as requested.
The $2,880 is in addition to the $6,000 in the initial applicaton.
Sincerely,
CORN CONSTRUCTION CO.
Albert C.
