Dep?. of \atural Resources
Attached is a limited inq~act pe3mLit application for the Q~ambers Pit in Eagle
County. Because of the bidding situation and the shorter working season in the
tmuntains, Flatiron is eager to have this application processed as rapidly as
possible. I would like to have the public notice available to the local news-
paper by July 3 in order to meet its mpy deadlines for the following week's
paper. Would it be possible for you to let me know if the application meets
ocanpleteness rte,; rements before July 3?
The Chambers Pit has substantial potential as a sand and gravel source. Although
Flatiron is applying for a limited impact permit now, I kwpe to submit a regular
permit application within the next few weeks so that a 48-acre area can be mined
and reclaimed in a oooniinated, well-planned fashion.
Thanks for your help in processing this application immediately. I look fonaard
to hearing from you before July 3.
Sincerely,
(Mrs.) Margaret Winter
