Michael Henderson's letter of February 8, 1982,
I have the following comments which must be addressed prior to the
February 24-25, 1982 meeting of the Mined Land Reclamation Board:
A. Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan
1. Since topsoil thickness varies from 0 to 12 inches on the
~~ undisturbed area and 6,000 cubic yards have already been stockpiled,
~~ the staff feels t hat the operator should be able to replace at lease
$~
2/a'3 6 - 10 inches on
inches of topsoil the lake shoreline. The statement that
would be replaced is not adequate. If 0 to 8
there is a
problem with 6 - 10 inches please outline the problem in detail.
B. Exhibit L - Reclamation Costs
1. The Following costs are based on a maximum of 33 acres of major
and moderate disturbance:
Grading
33 acres x $75./acre = $2,475.
Topsoiling
6,000 cubic yards of. topsoil (stockpiled)
6,000 cubic yards of fines (stockpiled)
8,866 cubic yards of topsoil to be stripped
20,866 cubic yards to be replaced
20,866 x $1.00/cubic yard = $20,866.
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
