Shelton
Director
I'n order for the above cited application [o be considered adequate for
the August 26-27 meeting of the Mined Land Reclamation Board the following
items must be addressed in detail.
Exhibit C - Affected Lands Map
In the future please delineate stockpiles in a more distinct
manner (such as using patterns, colors, weighted lines etc.).
On the present map it is difficult to distinguish natural
closed contours from stockpiles.
Exhibit D - Mining Plan
1) Will the A Soil horizon and B soil horizon be salvaged and
stocki~iled se parately9 This should be possible in those
areas consisting of Heavy Soils. If these horizons are
separated it will be possible to partially reconstruct the
natural soil profile and thereby greatly decrease the
potential for erosion and increase the chances for success-
ful revegetation.
2) Is it the operator's intention to stockpile bottom land
topsoil separately from all other soils (see page 10)1
3) Are the topsoil and overburden from stage 0 stored separate
from each other in Stockpile Area 17
4) Will any clay or silica sand be stockpiled on the site?
Location?
iiiiiiiiiiiiiuiii
STATE OF COLORADO AiCH MDR LP f.lf.l Gq.v n~!
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
D.
