Campton, County Engineer
SUBJECT: County Road use for Three Sells Ranch Gravel Pit
DATE: March 18, 1980
ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
EXT. 382.383
WILLIAM W. CAMPTON
COUNTY ENGINEER
ROSS W.SHAW
ASST. COUNTY ENGINEER
As of this date I have had a meeting with Mr. Bob Shields, contact
person for the Three Bells Ranch Associates about plans for access and
egress form the Gravel Pit.
For short access to State Highway 392 and U. S. I-25, and lower
maintenance costs on hauling equipment tir. Shields assured me that over
90X, probably 95%, of the gravel pit traffic will access onto County Road
No. 32E approximately one-fourth mile west of the Larimer County-Weld County
line, then traverse east to the County line, south one-half mile to State
392, thence fan out with most traffic going north on I-25 to other state
highways or county roads.
Mr. Shields also stated that the Three Bells Association would provide
maintenance on County Road 32E to maintain a road surface as good of better
than is normal under county maintenance.
Three Bells Associates will need to obtain from this office an access
permit and install proper signing also specified by this office.
If any other county road or roads in the are are to be used by Three
Bells Ranch Associates a revision in the permit will be required.
I hereby recommend approval, with the above comments included, far a
permit to Three Bells Ranch Associates for operation of the gravel pit.
WWC:mr
cc: l~Ir.
