• <br />iii iiiiiiiiiiuiu1 <br />SIE PART 741 - FEDERAL LANDS PROGRAM - PERMITS <br />Section 741.11 General Obligations <br />Doc Date:12/11/2001 <br />The existing Marr Mine operations are conducted on privately owned <br />surface and coal lands. This application is being submitted in <br />order to increase the acreage to be mined to include the federally <br />owned surface and coal land described in Federal Coal Lease C-22777 <br />as well as other privately owned surface and coal lands. This <br />application constitutes a request for a mining and reclamation <br />permit and for mine plan approval from both the Office of Surface <br />Mining and the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board under the OSM <br />Permanent Regulatory Program and the Colorado Surface Coal Mining <br />and Reclamation Act of 1979 <br /> <br />Section 741.12 Relation of permit to mining plan. <br />The enclosed application for approval of a mining plan and issuance <br />of a Federal Lando Program permit under the OSM Permanent Regula- <br />tory Program includes all the information required for a permit per <br />30 CFR 741.13, as well ae a mining and operations plan covering the <br />presently-known life of the surface coal mining operation pursuant <br />to the Mineral Leasing Act of 1920, as amended, and 30 CFR 211. <br />This mining and operation plan is described in the various plane ae <br />set forth in Part 780 of this application. <br />Section 741.13 Permit applications. <br /> <br />Kerr Coal has been advised by Region V of the Office of Surface <br />Mining that there is no fee for this application. <br />741-1 <br />
