The "mitigation plan"
is lacking in breadth and susbstance. Considerably more work needs to be
done on this subject.
We also have concerns about stream channel stability and gully erosion.
Hopefully, these items have been treated in more detail by the Urban Drain-
age and Flood Control District.
To supplement our comments we are providing you with a copy of our District
Conserve~tionist's comments on the application. We think it's obvious a lot
more work needs to be done before this application merits further attention.
The field trip Gary proposes in his letter seems like a very good idea.
We appreciate the opportunity for review.
Sincerely,
f C.C3L.U~la. ~: i C ~ . ; i'~.~L.t..Cf , v ~~ C.: - i i ~'$ I: C.r.' >l i~ ( ~r~G/ %' [:h ~~.Q.l
i CL c.c,v ~,.~
Rob Baldwin, President
Board oi' Supervisors
cc: Lou Ladwig, State Land Board
/Mik:e Boyd, Mined Land Reclamation Division
Dari Parker, State Soil Conservation Board
Dave Weber, Division of Wildlife
CONSERVATION ~ DEVELOPMENT ~ SELF GOVERNMENT
