Bernhardt Resource 112c Permit Application Adequacy Review Response
Dear Ms. Pickford:
On behalf ofHall-Irwin Corporation, the following are the responses to your Adequacy
Review dated March 7, 2003.
I. I have signed the maps, consistent with Rule 3.2.1(2).
Rule 6.4.3 Exhibit C -Pre-minint? and Mining Plan Maus
2. We have added the language contained in Exhibit J -Vegetation Information to
the Existing Conditions Map. As you mentioned, the map already shows the
location of existing trees and shrubs.
3. We have labeled the owners of all of the structures on and within 200' of the
affected land on the Existing Conditions and Mining Plan Maps.
Rule 6.4.4 Exhibit D -Mining Plan
4. At this time Hall-Irwin intends to sell inert structural fill generated outside of the
approved permit area. If the Operator decides to backfill any fill that was
generated outside of the permit area, Hall-Irwin will provide the Division notice
of any proposed backftll activity not identified in the approved reclamation plan.
Rule 6.4.5 Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan
The reclamation plan includes approximately I S acres of lake, 93 acres of water
storage reservoirs, 167 acres of wildlife habitat and 11 acres of ]and to be
reclaimed to the original elevation (or higher) to allow for the potential for the
landowner to construct buildings on the property someday (subject to
Milliken permits). The estimated acreage associated with each seed mix is in the
following table.
