~.
~. PENCOR
PIONEER
~ ENGINEERING
~ CORPORA
June 24, 1991
Mr. Harry B. Ranney
Mined Land Reclamation Division
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
Dear Harry:
III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
899

JUN 2 7 1991
~vlined wand
`~ey~amatio
n Division
In accordance with your letter of January 4, 1991, we have
completed redesigns using the 100-year, 24-hour precipitation event
for those items listed in your above referenced letter. The
permanent channel realignment and West Collection channel (also
referred to as Diversion Ditch No 1) were submitted on December 17,
1990. The designs for the East and West Fill Downdrains and
Diversion Ditch #2 are transmitted herewith.
This data should accommodate all requests of the Division
necessary to meet the July 1, 1991 deadline, except for bonding
which is being handled by Oakridge. We plan to revise the drainage
over the fill into Sediment Pond #2 in the upcoming second five-
year permit renewal.
As you know, we have recently obtained revised topography maps
which will be useful and necessary to obtain the second five-year
permit. We anticipate this package to be a major consolidation of
all revisions, modifications with inclusion of current data.
Please feel free to call if you have any questions concerning
this material or other questions relevant to the Carbon Junction
Canyon Mine.
Sincerely,
PIONEER
CORPORATION
~ I _
r~ ' \ ` ~~
Darry A.
