Long <br /> Division Director <br />RE: Walsenburg Sand and Gravel, Sand Arroyo Pit, Permit No. M-1978-283, ~ <br />Changes Corrective Action due dates <br />Dear Mr. BarnhaR: <br />On January 11, 2002, the Division received a letter from you requesting that the due date for an amendment to <br />the Sand Arrayo Pit be changed to April 1, 2002. The Division had not set a due date for an amendment. The <br />Division can not require that an operator amend his permit. Only the Mined Land Reclamation Boazd can do <br />that. What was changed by the September 28, 2001 inspection was the due dates for the three problems noted <br />during a June 25, 1998 inspection. The due date for those problems was extended to March 1, 2002. An <br />amendment to the Sand Arroyo Pit should address those 3 problems. The due date for those problems is <br />changed to June 30, 2002.
