Planning Commission
As you are aware, Rocky Mountain Energy, a subsidiary of Union Pacific Railroad
has raised a question on the ownership of the sand and gravel in the Southwest
Quarter of Section 19. It appears that this matter could take an indefinite
amount of time to resolve.
Therefore, we are hereby notifying you that we will be changing the~dary of
this project to exclude all mining in the Southwest Quarter of Section 19. Basi-
cally, this eliminates Area 3 and a portion of Area 2 from the mining. The sur-
face uses shown in the Southwest Quarter will remain as a part of the total op-••
eration, The change will effect the sequence and timing, but not the operation
and planning considerations. The engineering and hydrological considerations can
be modified to the new boundary.
Corrected boundary descriptions and areas will be submitted prior to final
approval and filing,
If you have any questions, please contact us.
Respectfully,
McRae & Short, Inc, ~~
6~E%~:rGP
Gerald B. McRae, P,E, & L.S.
cc: Robert Bosley Attached: 9 additional copies of Report
as requested.
